The Night Before Halloween
It is a perfect night before Halloween here tonight. The moon is out just enough to create shadows where creatures of the night can hide. The wind is whipping and it won't be long before ghost and goblins will be blowing through the air, dancing in the buffeting breeze. The trees are waving their branches to and fro as if to say stay away, stay very far away as the darkness of night hides many hideous sights. Things are banging and knocking with the gusts, rattling like the bones of an old skeleton. The witches are out preparing for their favorite night of the year. You can hear their faint cackles being carried near and far on the shifting wind as they stand around a bubbling cauldron deep in the dark forest. The vampires are sleeping, dreaming of a tasty meal to come. The devil is heating things up in preparation for a busy night. And what of you? What part of Halloween will you be???

Sounds like you're all set for a great night of fun.
Here? Bah-watch a scary Netflix and head to bed early! Aren't we terrible? We live in the middle of nowhere-no kids around. Sigh! I miss scaring the bejeezus out of the little buggers!
:D
I am planning on going to see my granddaughter be a Pink Panther and my grandson be some villain or monster as they make the rounds for trick or treating. It is going to be windy and cold. I hope they are able to keep warm without coats over their costumes.
Sue,
We live way out in the country, too, but sometimes we get a few kids coming by. Last year friends surprised us - it was trick or drink!
Rae,
Hope you had a great time with the grandkids. So much fun to watch them as they are so excited!
