As I write this, Tramp 1 is laying on the floor, trying to find a way to avoid the pain his back is providing. We had a good visit with the Neurosurgeon today - something Tramp 1 avoids at all costs until things get too painful to bear. Having had two back surgeries already, he would like to avoid any more. He knows that archery hunting season will be starting next month and he is in no shape to hunt... He will be having an MRI as soon as they can schedule him.
When he hurts, so do I. I cringe with every painful movement he makes. And I cannot begin to imagine the pain that our friends are going through with their son still in a coma. It will be a month next week since they began their bedside vigil, praying for the return of their dear son. The reality of the situation is that he will not be recovering beyond where he is now and will remain in a coma. They are trying to make arrangements for their lives with many changes. They were supposed to be moving to another state at the end of June and they had rented out their home... They have been staying at the wonderful Ronald McDonald House - a godsend for them. And we all marvel at their resiliency and strength of family and conviction as they face this life altering tragedy head on. Prayers are welcome, please.

Our thoughts are with both Tramp 1 and your friends. What a difficult time....
Thanks, Sue,
We know that there are many lessons in life and sometimes the teaching method is difficult to understand. What matters is that we grasp the fragility of life, take what we have been dealt and be grateful for it. Easier said than done in some situations...
