Just like most of you, we are being hit with the crazy cold weather here. Tonight it is supposed to drop down to 4 degrees with a wind chill of -10 to -20. Way to early for this kind of weather here. It was 70 degrees on Saturday - also not normal. We are expecting the possibility of snow by Thursday - the weather guy says maybe a foot!!
With all this cold weather, Chukar dog is spending more time indoors. A few months ago I bought him a big new pillow. We have learned that having a 95 pound dog, you need bigger, better built beds for him.
This is his new orthopedic pillow top bed. Big enough and comfortable enough that we could sleep on it!
Because the fabric is nubby and Chucky sheds so much, I made a slip cover out of a fleece blanket, complete with a bone motif. The fleece pillow cover makes it easy to clean.
Chucky has a new collar - it has a bell on it. It lets me know where he is even when I can't see him. I had to chase after him today and the bell really helped me find him quickly. He can be such a naughty boy!

That Chucky is quite the good looking dog. He has a wise old face.
We are having a light freeze this weekend but again for us, this is almost unprecedented. Hope this isn't a long cold bad Winter....ugh.

Yes he is so pretty with his bell! love the doggy bed. Mojo just has a big rug that I can put in the machine. he doesn't like pillows for some reason.
And he sheds BUCKETS of hair. Crazy.
since he is getting to be an older dawg now-- he also smells. so fun.
