“Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.” -

Come on over....

Where would you like to sit???

Yes, we have been nailed the last two days by snow, freezing rain and more snow.  We have well over a foot of the white stuff.  Tramp 1 has been working in California all week and is stranded elsewhere after our airport closed last night (while he was in mid air...) due to the freezing rain.  It might open back up this afternoon but he could not book a flight, so he is scheduled on a flight home on Saturday.  But he wants to get home tonight and was able to book a seat on an airport shuttle that serves our area.   So he will be back late tonight barring any more unforeseen travel issues.

And Chucky is going to be sooo happy to have him back home again.  With all this great snow, he just wants to be out cavorting about.  But it is way too cold to leave him outside for long.  And I sure don't want to be out there in all the cold any longer than I have to, either.  It isn't warming up for several more days.  It is supposed to be 4 degrees tonight and -2 degrees tomorrow night.

I am feeling the urge to put a soup kettle on the wood cook stove and do some baking, too.  What about you?  What do you like to do when the weather has you home bound?

I'm so happy to hear you are getting your hubby home after all! Wonderful!
It's the best place to be, especially when the weather turns. Get that soup pot cooking, dear!

Oh, my gosh -- winter has hit you hard and early! Definitely soup and crackling fire in the hearth weather. Chucky's snow face is adorable.

Stay warm!

Tramp 1 left California and I Wayne and I filled in his spot. Been basking in the sun, trying to get some colour back into my skin and Vitamin D into my system between football and basketball games. Unlike Chucky, I don't want to cavort in the white stuff just yet. - Margy
