Last week I saw a picture of a plant over at Sue's Garden Journal that looked familiar to me. I remembered that we found it growing here last year.
After a walk around the house and shop, I found two spots where this is growing. It is a Buffalobur Nightshade. It is really very pretty, especially since it blooms so nicely in the summer heat. The first time we found it, the plant was quite large and we let it grow because it was pretty. This time we pulled it out right away. It is covered with very nasty stickers and could wreak havoc with our dear Chucky dog. Keep an eye out for this scoundrel of the plant world. While I know every plant has its place, this plant doesn't have a place here!!

I'm still trying to figure out where that came from. I've NEVER seen one in my life-it was a new one to me.
Good idea to get rid of it before Chucky gets ahold of one-he gets into enough mischief already!
:D
This is really a rugged looking plant. And yes, it has a beauty of its own, if it is in the right place. - Margy
