And the Project Grows...

Last night as darkness fell to shroud Tramp's Camp, it was snowing lightly. But it looks like there will be just a couple days of snow showers. Not that it is going to get balmy here - it will be cold but should also be dry next week. That should help the contractor working on our new deck. He pretty much works alone so it takes more time but that is okay, we aren't paying by the hour. He said that subs are not very dependable. Wouldn't you think that would be changing with all the unemployment and unrest with our economy?

The footings are about to be set with concrete. The area has been built up and leveled off and now needs to be contained. So yesterday Rock Guy and Landscape Guy dropped by to give their suggestions on what we need done next. We had hoped to wait until spring for some of this work but it looks like it must be done now.

I just looked outside and the snow is coming down pretty good. Both Tramp 1 and I have our snow tires mounted on wheels to change over easily but they aren't on yet. We have both been driving around with four snow tires each inside our rigs. I should have had mine put on yesterday.... But I thought that the tire store would be slammed due to the holiday.... And I took the only rig without snow tires to town to haul back straw bales to make a large composting area. Thinking of spring when I should be thinking of winter!!

If it's any consolation-I usually get my screens put in the windows about 1 month before autumn!

Sue,

I guess it doesn't matter when some things get done, simply that they do! But the weather is a concern... It is pushing 20 degrees this morning!
