Our weather has been unseasonably dry and warm. We have never seen the North Sister mountain with so very little snow in all the years we have been here. Last night a quick front moved in over the Cascade mountains and left a calling card - a dusting of fresh snow. It won't be long and we will be back to chopping firewood! Time to finish up all those outdoor chores that need doing before the weather pushes us back inside with the advent of winter.

I am never ready for snow! Why is it that our summers seem so short and our winters so long?
One thing we can be thankful for, is no snakes in the winter, right?

Off topic from the snow, but we used to take a trip every year over to the "Reindeer Farm" when my grandparents went rockhounding (we also went to Peterson Rock Gardens). Anyhow, long story short, my two sisters and myself believed my Papa Jerry when he told us the Three Sisters got named that for the three of us. I still believe that! LOL Thanks for the pictures.

We were sitting in sunny Arizona and heard the news about the snow on the Cascades. While I love the warm (including the great summer we had), I know we need the rain and snow to preserve our land. - margy
Such a lovely view! The Three Sisters are gorgeous in their snowy cloaks. I hope that all of the west coast gets a lot of rain and snow this winter. We so need it!
