August, HOT August...

Okay, I will admit it - I don't do heat.  Chucky doesn't do heat.  Even the garden isn't liking this heat.

Spring was long, summer was late.  Summer is using August to make up for lost time.

I am glad that I am not the only person that finds August lacking.  August, Let's get rid of it sums it up nicely.

Saturday we traveled 350 miles round trip to judge a BBQ in the August heat - it was over 100 degrees.  I melted - but I survived.

The good things about August - Perseid meteor showers, my Mother's birthday, my cousin's daughter's wedding and speedy germination of seeds sown for fall gardens.  Tramp 2 would also add that archery hunting starts in late August.  Chucky doesn't know that it is August...  Chucky doesn't care - ball, ball, throw the ball!

Two hot days is two too many for me. I was ready to skip August before it even showed up. I cannot imagine how I survived those hot summers in Texas.

I agree with you-hot weather is the worst. I've never liked summer, despite the fact that I LOVE to garden. Anything over 85 degrees should be against the rules!

August and Sept are THE WORST! I can hardly wait for the first cool breeze in October!!!!!
