Trail Cam Season

With fall here now, I find myself excited to set up trail cams again.  And more critters are on the move with the cooler weather and shorter days.

This coyote seems to come by every week lately.

Look closely - the jack rabbit and the deer are both surprised to see each other!

I need to set up our trail cam here on the southern Oregon coast. We won't get to see any coyotes or jackrabbits, but just watching the deer feed on the dropped apples is fun.

I use my trail cam to figure out who is on our cabin deck so usually what I find isn't as much fun, and always at night in black and white. On the other hand, it did help us locate and catch a nasty old Norway rat in a trap. Not sure where it came from. Out where we are the type of rat that is common is the woodrat. They annoy me, but don't give me that city rat creepy feeling. - Margy
