First it was a lone doe passing through - or so we thought...
But just seconds after her came this little fawn. Hope they will come back by again soon, but not to eat our garden!
Nothing but pouring rain here yesterday and part of today, with more to come. Not our usual weather and we fear that our bean and pea seeds are rotting in the ground. Lettuce and kohlrabi are coming up nicely ( I just hope the quail don't come it and pull them up to munch on!) and the tomatoes and peppers are growing well. How are things growing in your garden?

They are such beautiful creatures. How lucky for you that you caught them on your trail cam.
So glad you found my new blog. I was waiting for you post something new so I could stop by here. I am glad to be back.
Awww...how is it that deer can look so sweet but be so destructive? This weekend I discovered that deer have a fondness for citrus -- my baby lemon tree had been well-munched and most of the tiny lemons were gone. The tree is now fenced around (should have done this to start with. Hind (pun!) sight.
This Stealth Cam thing of yours is great -- I want one. Would love to see the critters who march around the yard every night (the other day Murphy chased off a bobcat).
My garden isn't great so far this year. Chalk it off to the wonky weather we've had this spring and early summer. Only about 50% of my beans germinated. 'Course, wouldn't ya know, we had a wet, cold spell right after I planted them. I think our only hope this year is a long fall.
We have a mama deer and single fawn that we see along our fence line and in the field a couple of times a week. It's amazing how fast the little bugger can run and BOUND across the field!
