“Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.” -

Tenacious -

Tenacious - Not easily dispelled or discouraged; persisting in existence or in a course of action.

Synonyms --  persistent - tough - stubborn - dogged - obstinate.

In our garden?

The wonderful little marigolds that seeded themselves from seeds that blew out of last year's pots on the deck.  They came up on their own and have had no water all summer other than what they can suck out of the soil below them.

These are the petite little marigolds that sometimes actually seem lightly scented with tangerine or lemon.

They reproduce in many shades of orange to yellow and really brighten up our landscape.  The deer don't bother them and the bunnies have not munched them - this year....

What is the most tenacious plant in your garden?

I love marigolds. I really like them poking through your rocks. So natural looking. - Margy

They are so pretty, what a lovely intruder. Unfortunately my intruder is the weed horsetail and it is a real so and so to get rid of xxx

What's the most tenacious plant in my garden? Quack grass.

Other than that obnoxious weed, it's the Johnny-Jump-Ups. It's been I don't know how many years that I last planted them, but they keep coming up all over each year now. I love 'em!

Your marigolds are lovely! We get reseeded by a tender red salvia that the hummingbirds love, too many desert willows that must be pulled or rounded-up, and horehound. The horehound is a mixed blessing- because of the stickery seeds I usually pull all but a two or three. Those are left 'for medicinal purposes.'
