Hauling Firewoood

This is my handy folding wheelbarrow. I use it to haul firewood for the wood cook stove. It folds flat when not in use and is very light weight. It is sold generally for use with horses and might be kept with a horse trailer. None of those here! I bought this to take elk hunting - thought it might be good to pack portions of an elk if necessary. But it hasn't been necessary.... So I now use it for my daily firewood. And yes, sometimes I wheel it right inside the house! With the frigid weather we are having right now, I am loading it up twice a day. I have found it best to get out and chop firewood mid morning while the sun is shining. Four degrees seems a lot warmer with sun!

That's a great second use for a garden cart! I don't burn wood, but we do love a bonfire in the winter-I use a sled for hauling wood. Whatever works!
Stay warm!

What a neat idea. I imagined you all got cold of late. Even here in wine country (CA) we have been getting down to the 20's and that is COLD for here. That was a cold storm that pass thru and giving heck to the east now.
Stay warm eh?

That looks handy. We thought it would be a good idea to get a wheel barrel to haul our wood, but decided it would be more work than it would be worth. We'd have to get it across a gap between floats and then unload everything to carry it onto the higher deck. We just hand carry the wood about once a week on a sunny day (translated - a day without pouring rain).
